Jeanette & Iain Ashcroft

12th September 2015

If you had to describe Jeanette and Iain, you'd probably say they were 'Free Sprited'. A down to earth couple in every sense of the word, especially Iain, who is equally at home virtually anywhere, be it in a cosy living room with a log fire, a canal barge, or even under canvas. Saturday 12th September 2015 was a signature day for them both. It was the start of a glorious new life together, which will take them down many paths on new and exciting adventures. Jeaneatte had found her true soul mate in Iain, and this was obviously evident from the photographs I captured of their special day, a day shared by the many guests who attended the beautiful ceremony.

After I photographed Jeanette at the hairdressers, my second shooter Louise photographed Jeanette's preperations at the hotel, whilst I went to Southport's Community Church for the arrival of the guests. Jeanette had secretly rehearsed an entrance song that she sung to Iain from the balcony of the Edwardian Church, which had been especially draped in white for the occasion. After her performance her Uncle John escorted her down the aisle, where her sweetheart Iain awaited.

After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed tea and cake in the relaxed informal setting of the Community Church's Conference Centre. The happy couple were then chauffered for an intimate phorography session at Southport's famous Botanical Gardens, after which we returned to the Conference Centre for the wedding breakfast, which had a South African twist to it, prepared by Jeanettes close friend Isobel, who is orignally from that country. It is a country Iain has visited before and it holds a special place for him. The day ended with the cutting of the cake, which had specially made figures of the happy couple, especially Iain, as you will see from the photographs I took.
