This year, St. Valentines day fell on a Saturday. I was meeting my daughter and a friend in St. Helens Town centre. I always have my camera with me when I'm meeting my daughter, and this day was no exception. It was a beautiful sunny day. St. Helen's Church is in the middle of the Town and we spotted the Limousines outside the Church. When the Bride exited the church, I noticed that the official photographer hadn't stopped to take photographs of the Happy Couple outside the church, but went ahead to the Wedding Breakfast venue, and I was able to capture memories for Rob and Jess that would otherwise have been missed, such as the champagne in the Wedding Car photo.

I had no idea who the Happy Couple were, but through the medium that is Facebook, I found out that they were Rob and Jess Oakes, and Jess asked me to become her friend so I could share my beautiful photographs with all her friends. She was delighted with them, and they recieved many likes on Facebook. These were the first wedding photo's taken using my new Canon EOS 70D camera, and they are some of the best Wedding photographs I have taken. As I wasn't the official photographer, there aren't as many as in the other galleries. It was a privilige to make memories that would not have happened if I hadn't been in the right place at the right time.
