Peter & Louise's Pearl Themed Park Hotel Wedding.

This was my second wedding at Litherland's Park Hotel, the first being the reception of Colin & Joanne back in January. Nestling on the border of Litherland and Netherton, This Tudor Revival style building is a great choice for a wedding venue, and is ideal for the cost concious couples that demand a first class venue with the best service. The hotel itself has a Grand National theme, being only a 5 minute drive from the world famous Aintree Racecourse, home of the world's longest steeplechase.

I arrived at 1.30 for the preperation shots. Lou was in the Bridal suite, with her two daughters Bella & Eva, who were Flower Girls, and her two Bridesmaids. After plenty of photo's were taken of the Bridesmaids in their kimono's, the flowers and wedding glasses, it was the turn of the Mother and her daughters to have some pre-wedding pictures taken. Louise is down to earth and relaxed, and her bridesmaids were lively and bubbly, in fact one of the shots showed one of them swigging from a bottle of the stuff.

I then went down to photograph the ceremony venue, the Aintree Suite. Wedding venues now are a lot different to how they were when I used to be a D.J. in the 80's & 90's. Each wedding now has a theme that the venue is decorated to, and this wedding was Pearl inspired. Pearl colours were used throughout, and a pull up stand had a picture of lots of pearls. The Pearl theme was Louise's idea.

By the time I'd finished those photos, guests had started to arrive. I went back to the bridal suite for some photos of Louise in her dress, using the natural light of the window. Then it was back down to photograph the groom's arrival. Peter was laid back and relaxed. His best man was brilliant, and we got the obligatory pre wedding photo's. These were followed by shots of the guests. Everyone made their way into the Aintree Suite for the ceremony. Louise look stunning as she glided down the aisle, preceded by her two daughters who were flower girls, and here two bridesmaids.

The ceremony itself was short but romantic, perfectly capturing the couple's personalities. Guests were wiping tears from their eyes. The love Peter and Lou share for one another was so obvious in my photo's of the ceremony. Afterthe vows, P|eter romantically slipped the ring onLouise's finger, and she was now Mrs. Bretherton. After the ceremony, the guests exited to Bechers Bar for drinks, and light bites instead of a full wedding breakfast. This gave me the opportunity to take plenty of candid, formal and romantic shots, capturing all the love, joy and romance shared by Peter and Louise on their special, once in a lifetime day.

Louise and her husband enjoyed my photographs, which you will see below.
